The Significance of Touching Feet | Incredible India!

Everything that you do, say or believe can either evolve your life or dwell you in problems. Ancient Indian civilization created methods so that every action we perform, elevates our life.

“Do everything you have to do, but not with ego, not with lust, not with envy but with love, compassion, humility, and devotion.”

– Lord Krishna

Everything that we do physically, mentally and energy wise has a immense impact our system, the way we breath, sit, talk, behave, all can become a tool to elevate our life to deeper dimensions of existence or can dwell us in problems that everyone faces in modern times.

Our saints and scientists of ancient civilization, experimented and created an elaborate science of how to conduct day to day life.

How to sit, breathe, eat, conduct our thoughts, for this numerous methods have been written and verbally transmitted by them, so that even a simple man who doesn’t know why he is doing what he is doing but he gets the benifit of it.

The Significance of Touching Feet.

It is more than the modern term of bending exercise. Our tradition thought us that bowing down and touching the feet of our elders and guru, is the proper way to submit your respect.

Vedic History of Foot-Touch Therapy.

In Mahabharat, Shri Krishna treated the lady kubja who had bamboo spine, by pressing the feet.

Similarly in the Ramayana Rama treated Ahalya, wife of Maharishi Gautam, she was in deep depression, she neither speak nor did she cry but lord Rama healed her by foot touching Therapy.

Such examples of foot touch Therapy can be found in our ancient scriptures.

My Thoughts

Though we had multiple political parties at one time and still is, and we have people of every walk of life who has different beliefs and ideas, we were one nation, to us, and for the rest of the world. That’s because of our traditions, our culture, which showed us that each act we do can transform ourselves.

Foot-touch is more than an exercise, is more than showing respect, we bring our both hands in unison and bow down to our elders because we know life is not just about us and our agendas, it is not only about we showing respect, but acknowledging the potential within everyone we meet, and bowing down, touching feet and namaste is the symbol of our civilization.

More than a style, it’s our life.
